Inside GothPink

If you are in love with gothic fashion, Halloween must be your day. Choose your dresses carefully. Go for the ones that are hued mystical blue, blood red or dull gold.

One cannot think of Halloween without black lips or the ones that look like they are drenched in fresh blood. And let us tell you, moss green or lime green lipsticks are also in fashion now, along with the innumerable shades of purple. Eyes are the most important parts of your face for that perfect gothic look.
As for the accessories, you can make extensive use of wigs; artificial fingernails that give an appearance of death and decay are perfect. You must portray the same dark, forlorn look in your attitude.

You can sport smoky eyes and roll on some dusty kohl, smudge it all around your eyes. Let some of the liquid eyeliner rolls down in a beautifully dirty manner.

Do you fit into one of the main trinity of Goth Fashion Divisions or are you a lone Raven in the dark who doesn't match any existing notions of Gothic?
Haute Goth: They are from the sect that believes in dressing up all in black. They feel that in order to feel a sense of unity with the beauty of darkness, it is absolutely necessary to wear black costumes and accessories.

Gothic Lolita:
This style calls for a darker makeup and dressing style. Gothic Lolita defines the style of keeping oneself well-dressed along with the combination of red lipstick and kohled eyes.
Aristocrat Goth: This is actually a street fashion form, which has largely been influenced by the Rock musician Mana. This style speaks loud of the subtly blended Neo-Victorian and Gothic fashion concepts.

The people that gravitate towards the idea of being a Goth are usually the people that have either had experiences with depression or other events that involve violence as well. The common feelings that are associated with this particular culture or lifestyle are anger, desperation, depression, hatred and angst.

The basic issues that Goths find on a societal and individual level which they choose to voice as well are all the negativeness and violence that one finds all around. Gothic people tend to be more intellectually active and think with a  consciously acute connection to feelings, emotions and natural forces.

The Background of Black

Typical goth clothing is dark, mostly black, but can include colors like red and purple as accents at times. Things like lace, gloves, and corsets are classic goth style when it comes to girls and capes, trench coats and top hats are very Gothic pieces for males. When you dress up goth, you want to emulate a vampire to a certain extent. This can be with the pale makeup, dark attire (obviously), hair dyed either black or red, bloody red accent and lipstick, Victorian influences and more. Vampire style is very inspired by Victorian attire which is where Gothic vampire clothing like suits and ruffled shirts come in. Gothic vampire clothing also includes things like chokers and necklaces and even bow ties that look like bats!
